Wazzle and Hamerton Zoo Park
Hamerton Zoo Park offers a highly unique, immersive learning experience regarding
Australian wildlife because it houses one of the largest collections of Australian animals in Europe.
The zoo's "Project-Australia" initiative is designed to teach children about marsupials, evolutionary adaptations, and ecosystems through close-up, interactive encounters.
Hamerton Zoo gives children the rare opportunity to see the life cycle of a marsupial in real time. Wanda, one of the characters in this children's book, is the zoo's female wombat. She has successfully raised wombat joeys in her pouch.

Wombats love to dig, and their constant digging mixes nutrients into the soil to help Australian plants grow.

Wombats do not mean to invite guests, but terrified wallabies, lizards, and birds slip inside the cool tunnels to stay safe.

By just living their normal lives, these oblivious heroes save countless animal neighbors and help the bush bounce back after a fire.
